ABOUT SOMATIC PRACTICE
This is a space to ask the body a question and wait for the answer.
Energy does not disappear. It parks. In a hip, a jaw, a shoulder, the low back, and it waits there quietly for years. Stuck energy does not respond to being analyzed. You cannot think it loose. It responds to being heard. Through guided attention, gentle inquiry, and time, you are invited to listen to what your body has been holding and to follow what the listening turns up.
WHAT THIS HOUR IS
Less holding. More room. More of you.
An hour in the Somatic Room is a guided practice of listening, held in the presence of others doing the same. Sometimes what surfaces is movement. Sometimes sound. Sometimes stillness. Energy moves many ways and your body will choose. You leave with the shift settled in your body and a practice you can return to on your own.

WHO THIS IS FOR
For anyone living in a body.
This space is for anyone who holds tension they cannot talk their way out of. If you carry stress in your shoulders, clench your jaw at night, or have gone numb from the neck down, your body has been trying to tell you something. Spiritually open is welcome here. No particular belief is required, only a willingness to slow down and listen.
There is nothing to perform here.
No experience is needed. No flexibility is needed. Sharing is never required. You can pause, rest, or stop at any point, and stopping is information too. Camera on, camera off, both are welcome. There is no place to go and no place to be. Just the listening, and the room, and you.

WHAT THE RESEARCH IS SHOWING
The science is catching up to what the body already knows.
Interoceptive awareness is key to identifying internal physiological processes related to affective feeling, and by so-doing is a means of integrating bodily sensations, cognitive processes, and emotional feeling.
